Clone existing Windows machine into a VM?

I have an old system running XP that has a critical piece of legacy software which refuses to install on a new system. Is there any way to suck that old system into a VM that I could run in VB on the new system?

Read the FAQ and QuickClik FAQ.

Well, I also had the same question! But, I did search the FAQ, and browsed through the manual, but missed
the section on "Using a raw host hard disk from a guest".

I couldn't find anything in the FAQ, and QuickClik FAQ (obviously it was a smoke screen and lesson on searching, which
I didn't really need) but more importantly I did search and find a couple of postings that guided me to what
I needed in the Manual. Viola! Without Smoke!
