I have installed the latest VirtualBox on my Windows 7 RC1 X64 Host.
I installed XP 32 SP3 as a guest system.
Everything works perfectly except I don't get an audio input.
Audio output works very good.

1. Installed guest additions.
2. tried both Sound blaster 16 and ICH AC'97 as well.
3. On my host I've set default input to a microphone that is connected and fully working in Win7, directsound is getting the mic signal in host.
4. Installation of XP was tested not in VM and audio input was fully working.

I really need this working to test a VOIP software.

Thanks!

If you want to use VOIP, you should run that on the Host directly. VOIP requires low latency communication, and running it from a VM will only increase that, something you don't want.

And you're not very clear here. You state it works on your XP, but not in a VM. This is confusing.

Another thing. Win7 Host is NOT supported by the mods/volunteers. It's still too soon for official support on that. MS clearly states that users should NOT use Win7 as production OS. With your question here, you state that you do run it as production. Not a good idea.
