VirtualBox on XP Host: disable or tweak networking

Hi,

I would like to run VirtualBox with XP as a host at my office. However, VirtualBox networking keeps trying to connect to an IP network of 192.168.x.x. My office network has a totally different IP scheme and this kind of network requests will raise some flags for the network team.

Is there a way to just disable certain network capabilities of the VirtualBox program? In VMWare I used to disable unnecessary network services from the virtual network setup. For example, if I just want to use the same IP as the host for the VM, I would disable NAT'ing and also the ability for the VM to get an IP from the network. Hopefully this makes sense.

Thanks for your help.
