Problems with USB ISDN TA

Post by cooljimy84 »

Gooda afternoon all

I'm having a few problems with getting a windozs VM to see my USB ISDN TA.
Linux (host) sees the device, and VirtualBox lists it under USB devices but when i click to "mount" it i get the following error.
"
Failed to attach the USB device USB ISDN TA [0100] to the virtual machine vmtest

Failed to create a proxy device for the USB device. (error verr_read_error).

Details.
Result Code NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component Console
Interface IConsole {9511bc54-15ee-4ddf-808e-472aba03809c}
"
Linux host is Ubuntu 9.04
VirtualBox is 2.2.0 ( i have tried on 2.2.2 and i get the same error )

Go easy on me i've been using linux for a while, but have not been "under the hood" very much

Thanks
James

Not all USB devices work with VBox, try an empty USB filter first, if that doesn't work there isn't much you can do other then try to share it from the Host.
