Just upgraded my host machine to Win7-64 (7100) from Win-7-32 (7068). was using Virtual Box 2.2.2 on win7-32 bit and exported the appliance XPSP3 and expected to be able to import the appliance. Unfortunately does not want to boot after appliance import - error message - failed to import appliance - appliance is there but fails to boot

any ideas would be appreciated
thx

Does it have the XP virtualizer in it?
If so it probably will not work.
Windows 7 beta & Release Candidate is a development OS and not supported by the community (us volunteers/mods) directly. Because it's still in development, changes can be made at the last moment, which could cause to render all support done in previous versions useless and possibly cause serious issues.

Not sure what you mean by XP virtualizer
Initial install was from scrach with XP Pro and then upgraded - just used the tools for more efficient performance
did not have virtualization turned on in the BIOS
thought it was a standard virtual box file - created the .ovf which goes to 99.9% fininsh - force close and then appliance is visible to start but fails to start
realize win7 still under developement but was working so well on win7-7068 release
guess will have to try the new MSVirtualPC
thx for you ideas

The XP virtualizer (Virtual XP Mode) is not installed by default. You actually have to download it anyways. I doubt he has it installed if that is the case.
