[SOLVED] [V2.2.2] cannot access to the kernel driver

Hello,
I have installed the last version of Virtualbox (2.2.2) on my computer (under Windows Vista).
When I want to open one of my virtual machines, i have an error message :

Code: Select all

cannot access the kernel driver !
make sure the kernel module has been loaded successfully.

It appears with all the VM I have before and the VM I create now.
I click on the button of the window and then I have a detailed error message :

Code: Select all

I hope you know the problem and can help me
Many of the answers I've found on Google are about a linux verison of VirtualBox.

P.S : I'm a French student so i think my English is not very good

I haven't found an answer because the error message is different or the version of VB is on Linux.

Win XP SP3 French version - Fresh install of virtualbox 2.2.2 (or 2.2.0)

The install is ok, but when i want to start a vm, i have the message "Cannot access..."

I am having the same error with guest Windows 7, any ideas? Was anyone able to use their guest systems on an earlier version VirtualBox??

I've removed Virtualbox 2.2.2 and install an old version ( 1.6 ) and it works.
I had to delete the old VM and create new from the old .vdi files

I had the same problem with Virtual Box 2.2.4 on Windows-Vista-Host. I have started the Installprogram from Virtual Box again and select the Repair-Button. After this Virtul Box runs without errors.

I update my VirtualBox version from 1.6 to 2.2.4 and now it works.
