Virtual Disks on USB disk drive
I use PUEL. I have my virtual disks on a Western Digital USB drive. I have activated USB 2.0 support and added filters which exclude the WD USB Drive. When I start my WinXP guest, it hangs at the Windows XP logo screen. I suspect it is because my virtual disks are on USB but am not 100% sure. If I deactivate USB support, the guest runs fine. Any ideas?
Re: Virtual Disks on USB disk drive
I don't think using it for 2 different purposes from one application will work, sounds like you are creating a loop this way.

Re: Virtual Disks on USB disk drive
On my laptop, I have my VMs on my external drive too, attached through USB. Even though I have some VMs with an empty filter, the drive isn't grabbed automatically. Remove the filter, that might be the cause. You don't need a filter if you want to use USB devices. You can select the manually. You only need filters if you want to grab devices automatically.

Re: Virtual Disks on USB disk drive
I believe the issue is with ehci support. When I uncheck "Enable USB 2.0 (EHCI) Controller", the XP guest boots fine. The problem now appears to be USB related. I am unable to access any USB device.
