Internet Connection

Post by jhaski »

Sorry if these questions have been repeated. I spent all day trying to browse these forums, but I could not follow the results, so I decided to ask here.

I am using Windows Vista Host with a Debian guest. For some reason, the Debian guest will not connect to the Internet. The network configuration area of Debian does not have any networks listed that can be changed. I am using a wireless router to connect to the Internet.

Please tell me what details I should provide. I am new to both Virtual Machines and Linux distributions.

You select the network adapter in the settings area of VBox for the guest. Depending on what you selected for the service (NAT, Bridged, Host-only...)
Your host adapter should show there. Click the screw driver to select if it is Version 2.2.0 or the down arrow for 2.2.2 to the right of name.
