Hello virtualbox community, i am a new user to the world of VB (loving it thus far) and i wanted to ask, is it possible to run VB off of a removable hard disk? I am running VB Ubuntu off of my Windows Vista laptop and currently my disk is a bit low on space, that in mind i have been contemplating purchasing a removable hard disk for back up reasons and am now curious as to whether or not i can save a virtual partition to a removable HDD and run vb directly off of the usb connection?

If anyone can help me with this i would greatly appreciate it thx.

Yes it works but remember that usb is a lot slower then an internal disk so if will be slower....
If your computer has firewire consider using that instead. It sounds like its slower (if you read the specs) but usually it is faster then usb.
If you are relly lucky your computer might have eSata if so use that!
