Hi,
Host: suse enterprise 10sp1 32bit.
Guests: suse enterprise 10sp1 32bit, suse enterprise 11, windows 2000 sp4.
I have been running sles 10(host) for awhile now without many issues. I installed vbox and have been running without many issues. (upgraded to 2.2.2 in hope of resolving the issue below).
The most annoying bug seems to be with the keyboard. This only happens with the guests running. After awhile the keyboard on host refuses to function, mouse works fine. The guests are accessible via rdp, vnc and ssh and seem to be functioning ok and remote keyboard is functional.
I have also had problems when installing guests that the keyboard will stopping working during the install usually after a reboot. Right Ctrl and refuses to let the keyboard go, the only way out is to use alt+tab and jump back to the host and restart the install.
The problem exists if I run the install via rdp.
Host keyboard does eventually come back on line.
Any ideas, its not a major problem just annoying.

Re: Strange keyboard issue
Hi Jules,
I have exactly the same issue. Running Ubuntu 9.04 Host and Windows XP SP2 guest.
Did you find a solution to your keyboard problem ?

Re: Strange keyboard issue
Not a lot has been written about this issue but the ones I found all had to post a bug report with bugtracker. Looks like you may need to add you name to theirs http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/3894 as well. You will need to setup a new account there they do not recognize ours. The link is below my post.

Re: Strange keyboard issue
i have found a workaround for my installation of vb 2.2.2 under ubuntu 9.04 with winxpsp3 guest. i just push the host key (right ctrl key in my case) and switch to a second desktop and back again in vb and the keyboard works. not comfortable but working.
