Can 64-bit guest access additional memory on 32-bit host?

Post by czk »

The hardware is 64-bit intel CPU with VT-x, and over 4G RAM. Host OS is Windows XP pro 32-bit, which can only access 3.25G RAM. If I install 64-bit linux guest in virtualbox, can guest os use the additional memory that cannot be accessed in host os?

Sorry NO. You can only use what the host can.

My way: "You live as long as you learn".
