i would search for it if i would know what term to use, sorry if its a well-known issue.
i got two debian-installations, one is sid/unstable, one is lenny/stable, on both virtualbox is installed (but different versions).
would i be able to move one of the guest-installations from sid over to lenny?
thanks

This is possible, yes. You have to copy the VDI file to the other Host, then create a new VM, point it to the existing VDI and make sure all the settings are the same as the other Host. If the transfer is from an older VB version to a newer one, you can even copy the entire .VirtualBox folder from your Home folder to the new host. You can't use newer VM settings with older VB versions.
