RDP disconnection from Windows Seven client

Hi,
I'm using VirtualBox 2.2.2 on a XP machine hosting another XP OS. I use remote desktop from a Windows 7 RC RDP client but after few seconds, when a new windows is opened or something happens, my client is disconnected telling me there's a protocol error.

Anybody has this error?

What happens if you connect through RDP to another XP machine? Is the RDP connection you're using the Windows native one, or are you using VBox' VRDP? Please give more info, as stated in the Forum Posting Guide.

Connecting using normal XP rdp works fine. This issue happens only using VRDP

Do you have a Vista machine? If so, test it with that. If that works fine, then the issue is Windows 7. Keep in mind that W7 is still in development, so you can expect some strange behaviours.
If the connection is also dropped with Vista, then please open a bug report in the Bugtracker, give as much info as you can and include the log of the VM when the connection failed. If the connection is NOT dropped from a Vista machine, then wait for W7 to be final, there might be some fixes in the RDP client, or an update on the VRDP module in VB by then to support W7. W7 Hosts are currently not supported in any way, other than Guests, and even that is minimal, due to the state of the OS.

Yes, it works on vista. It's a seven rdp client issue.

Ok, then wait until W7 is final. It might still be an issue with the legacy RDP protocol. You might want to report this to MS. The perfect test case for this, is to install Windows 2000 Server (if you have it) and set up Terminal Services, so you can RDP to that too. If the connection fails when you connect to W2k natively, then the legacy protocol is an issue. MS should fix that. XP and newer can use the newer version of the protocol on the server side.
