usb question

Every time I log out of virtual box what ever usb peripherals I have captured become busy. Is there a way I can keep them captured each time I start a virtual box machine?

There seems to be some sort of problem that prevents this from happening in Windows. I have been working with the VirtualBox Devs to try and figure this out but for the time being the only way to make this happen is to use a blank filter and once the guest is running you unplug the USB device and then plug it back in.
