Lost harddrive space

Post by DrivingManiac »

Hey all,
I searched quite a bit hoping to see if there was any remedy for this, however I installed virtual-box soely to get a feel for Windows 7. Unfortunately for me, it wasn't a top experience due to the processing resources.

Comes down to it, I decide to remove Windows 7 through virtual-box and it would -not- allow me to remove it and asked me to remove my check points. Needless to say, I tried and it wouldn't work. Being the genius I am, I decided that uninstalling virtual-box might fix this issue and alas it didn't work.

20 GB is the default sizing for Windows 7 and unfortunately I'm out the 20 GB on my main drive. Does anyone have a suggestion for fixing this? I already "deleted" the image file of windows 7 but that doesn't seem to have cleared it up. I don't know enough about virtual-box and how it assigns harddrive space.

You deleted VBOX, but not the virtual hard disk images. Windows has a nice Tool called "Explorer" to search such files.
