I have Vbox 2.2.2 46594 on Windows XP

I have created Windows XP machine and installed all the software and drivers.
Then I connect my USB token ActivCard device to the host machine and I can see it in the USB devices listing in the VBox menu.
I tried to connect it to the guest Win XP and I saw that some USB Vbox drivers was installed on my host machine and then I got nothing.
I have tried to connect it again and I get an error window telling that:

Code: Select all

USB device 'ActivCard S.A. Token-USB' with UUID {xxx-removed-by-me-xxx} is busy with a previous request. Please try again later.
I have tried to reboot both machines and connect and disconnect USB device, but nothing helped.

Is there anyting I can do?
Please help me because I cannot connect to my office VPN without this USB key.

The suggestion "Its in the FAQ, make an empty usb filter, focus the VM, then plug in usb device." did not help.
I've Windows XP SP3 as HOST and guest system.

When I plug out the stick - a Sony Micro Vault with 2 GB - the guest does not recognize it. It's still there.
I miss also a menu to disconnect the stick similar to the remove menu for a CD/DVD.
I expect to see a similar behaviour in the guest when I plug in the stick. I'm aware that the stick is operating either with the HOST or with the guest but not both.
Any help?

Thanks and kind regards,
Andreas

A second try after the guest reboot did help - if you really follow the rule 1st start VirtualBox and wait, 2nd plug-in the stick.
In case of USB drivers will be installed on the HOST system you will need a second try.
