Mouse Cursor Disappears in Webex and LiveMeeting

I'm using VirtualBox 2.2.2 on an Ubuntu 9.04 host. When I run a Windows guest - in this case it's Vista with SP 1 - and share my desktop either in Webex or in LiveMeeting my mouse cursor becomes invisible.

I can join a meeting just fine as long as a participant, the moment I become a presenter/share my screen this issue happens.

Anyone else run across this and/or have a solution?

Perryg thanks for that. I'll try resizing the window next time and see if that helps. But that's a possible workaround. Since I'm not the only one experiencing this and it's reproducible, it sounds like it's an issue with Vbox though. Perhaps something to do with the mouse driver. Would be nice if it was addressed.

Curious... Does anyone know if this was addressed in VBox 3.0 beta that's out? Can't tell by release notes. So was wondering if anyone using the VBox 3.0 beta and LiveMeeting / Webex saw things working differently.

Btw, the work-around of resizing the screen didn't work for me. Maybe someone else found a work-around?

One thing that you might try is to turn off video acceleration in Vista. There have been instances where this fixed video rendering in a VM.

Add me to the list of users with the disappearing mouse pointer in LiveMeeting problem -- VirtualBox 3.0.4, Host OS is Vista SP1, Guest is XP SP3. All this worked a-OK under VMWare Workstation 6.5.1.

Makes it nearly impossible to use WebEx

I hate to say this again but if this is a problem for you then you need to post a ticket on bugtracker. I do not have this problem so it would be useless for me to do it since I could not supply the log files or any real information. Post a ticket and then put the link in here so others can add their names to the ticket.

this issue is apparently fixed in 3.0.6
make sure you re-install guest editions, mine were still 3.0.4
