"Cannot acces Kernel driver" on VB 2.2.2

Post by B@rberousse »

Hello Virtual World ! :D

I just upgrade VB from 2.2.0 to 2.2.2 and I can't start my VM anymore... I got the message : "Cannot acces Kernel driver"

Any idea ?

Host : Win XP Pro SP3 1Gb RAM
Guest : Ubuntu 9.04 300 Mb RAM

Thank you for help.

Try reinstalling VBox and select repair.
Don't forget to update the guest additions

OK... I'll try this and say what..

What do you mean : "update the guest additions" ?

Guest additions are updates as well. You do not have to but you can run into a lot of problems it you don't.

Ok !

All is all right.
Repair didn' t work, but uninstall/reboot/new install did...

However, guest additions seems very, very, VERY long to install..
