VirtualBox 2.2.0/2.2.2 on WinXP and XMing

After upgrading to VirtualBox 2.2.2 I noticed that I'm no longer able to startup XMing (only empty root window displayed). No matter whether VirtualBox actively runs! Only after _deinstalling_ VirtualBox completely I was able to start Xming again successfully. Same for VirtualBox 2.2.0.
This behaviour is noticed on two different PCs!
Any hints?
