Windows 7 will not go completely full screen?

Post by tripflex »

Alright so i'm running xubuntu jacoby the newest version and vb 2.1.4.

I installed Windows 7 RC1 and everything seems to be running fine but i can't seem to get it to go completely full screen. I set the resolution on the windows machine to 1024x768 and that's the best resolution i can get ... even when i put VB in full screen mode it's still not full screen.

Anybody know how to fix this so say if you were to walk by my laptop and see windows running you wouldn't even know that i'm also running linux.

Thanks guys!!

I have this problem with my WinXP guest(additions installed), but works fine with fullscreen in Win7 RC :) However I cannot choose higher resolution that 1024x768 in Win7 either, but full screen works as its supposed to..

Btw, try to view your Win7 guest via RDP, and se what resolutions you can set... If view my XP guest with RDP, I can set whatever resolution I want...

Setting a resolution in a Guest using the display properties will never give you the resolution you want. You have to install the GA, then change the size of the Window to trigger a resolution change.
