Mixing 64-bit and 32-bit
Can a 64-bit guest be installed on a 32-bit host? What about a 32-bit guest on a 64-bit host?

To both: yes, see the Manual what you need to get this working, ea. vt-x.

Re: Mixing 64-bit and 32-bit
Before seeing your response I tried it out. On a WinXP 32bit host it wouldn't load a 64bit Ubuntu guest, said it was the wrong distro for the proc and to get the right distro. I was able to load 64bit Ubuntu as a host and loaded 32bit WinXP as the guest with no errors. I'll check the manual for what you mentioned to see if I can get it working like that in the future. I might just stick with what I have regardless though, seems more logical having the 64bit OS as the host with 32bit guests.
