I get this error every time i try to install Virtual Box on a Windows Server 2008 Enterprice.
I havent tried much to solve this because I am totally newb on this operatingsystem(Still used to XP), i dont know if i have to run this as an adminstrator or how.

I have no problem on installing this on a Windows XP.

You should be able to right click on the install icon and then select run as admin.
Try rebooting the machine and start over with the above suggestions.

Same problem with Vista64 after uninstall/reinstall to update to 2.2.2. Ran as administrator (UAC is off, too), same error as datadanne. Cannot remove VirtualBox from Programs and Features in Control Panel, even though it it no longer installed. Cannot delete Host-Only adapter from Network Connections, either. Already deleted \Program Files\Sun\VirtualBox and rebooted.

Might have been nice if the installer would notify us as to what the error actually is.

Probably the reason that you can not remove the device is that windows is still trying to using it.
Try going into the network properties and take the check mark off of the device.
Now you may need to reboot for Windows to release the device.
Then you should be able to go into the device manager and remove it.
