Hello,

Kinda new to linux and all, still trying to find my way around

Im currently trying to replace my windows desktop for ubuntu and run winxp in a virtual box(I need office 2007 for work)

The problem is that I cant connect to the exchange server in Winxp.
I can ping the name just fine - even typing in the IP address instead of the dns name will still result in a " cant find server" error message.

ive searched around here but havent been able to find any post related to my problem.

I've seen a similar problem but it's intermittent. Sometimes it works (after a wait of 10-20 minutes) but other times it does not.

Have you tried using a bridged network interface rather than NATed? It did the trick for me, when I had problems accessing Exchange 2007 server from within a virtual Windows XP.
