Hi,
I have VirtualBox2.2.2 on my Ubuntu9.04 64bit. I installed Windows7RC 64bit on a virtual machine. As audio device I set Audio Driver Alsa (as host system) and ICHAC97 as controller.
When I launch Windows7 the system does not find any audio driver.
How can I solve?
Thanks, bye bye.

Do a Windows update and let it pick up the drivers for you. Worked for me.

When the Guest fails to install the driver, it's not the Host that is at fault. You would get the same with Windows Host, or NULL audio driver. If Windows Update won't find it, you can try the Realtek website and install the Vista version of the AC'97 driver.
