VirtualBox occassionally crashes on Fedora 10

Hello,

I have Linux Fedora 10 as the host OS on a Pentium 4 PC
with Windows XP (up-to-date) as guest.

I have VirtualBox-2.2.2_46594_fedora9-1.i386 RPM installed.

Sometimes, while browsing (IE 8), VirtualBox crashes.

In /var/log/messages I have, for example:
kernel: VirtualBox[13679]: segfault at 80d1596c ip 00c29d1c sp bfc3b72c error 4 in libX11.so.6.2.0[c18000+fd000]

Any idea how and why this can happen?

Rob.

Put "error 4 in libX11.so.6.2.0" in Google. It appears that there was a bug in the libX11 on some versions. You could try to update you host files and see if this helps also.
