Can installation media be a bootable SD card?

I'm completely new to Ubuntu Netbook Remix, and Virtualbox. I have installed Version 2.2.2r46594
I'm trying to run Windows7 RC on Virtualbox. As I don't have a CD drive on my Acer aspire One A150, I created a bootable Sd card. I have checked that the SD card is working.
I installed Virtualbox , but when I try to select installation media, there is no option to select an SD card.
Is it possible to use an SD card?
If not,
Can anyone suggest what other boot devices i can use without a CD/DVD drive.

First answer is no, there is no way to use a SD card to install.
You can copy the install (ISO) to the host in a folder and select that as the CD image that you want to use to install from.
