Problems with Vbox

Hi,

i am new here :)

I have problem with Vbox, latest version. On Ubuntu/Win XP same problem

Ubuntu config on screenshot
WIN same machine but XP is only 32bit

Can't boot due kernel detect issue. See screenshot. Pls help.

Any idea where is the problem or it's my mistake?

yes, i have it enabled.

On both (WIN XP, Linux HOSTS)

Anything else?

what CPU, is it VT-x/AMD-V capable and enabled in BIOS?

Ubuntu host is 64bit i suppose? - 32bit (XP) wont work AFAIK

Yes, ubuntu is 64bit host.

CPU: intel core 2 duo E8400

I have a Windows XP 32bit installation in VB with a 64bit debian host system...

works fine...

non OSE-version of VB, version 2.2.2

64bit cpu, amd-v enabled...

Adrian, E8400 should work, if the BIOS does it right (cpuid|grep vmx)

my confusion, sorry, i did not read Adrians first post well and thougt there also was a windows 32bit host:

i know that about WIN XP 32bit, but i have same error like in ubuntu 64bit :(

today: when i look on setings VM machine- enable VT-x/AMD-V. But when i look on info running (hotkey HOST KEY+N) i see VT-x/AMD-V is disabled.

can you post the VBox.log of the guest, and the output of cat /proc/cpuinfo from the host?
