Hello

I have a WinXP Guest on a WinVista64 Host and when I try to capture my USB HD for use in the Windows XP either the device will uninstall then WinVista will say installing drivers, "VirtualBox USB Drivers installed" or I will get an error from VB that says, "Failed to attach the USB device Maxtor OneTouch [0125] to the virtual machine Win_XP_0_1

USB device 'Maxtor OneTouch' with UUID {9f3884f2-6dc6-436c-968a-c2819713699d} is busy with a previous request. Please try again later.

>Details"
(I also would like to point out I had to type that twice because I can not figure out how to make the clipboard work, or how to make the drag and drop work.)

I have;

2.2.2
Guest additions of the Previous Version

I am going to try the following now and I will update the thread;

Install new guest additions
Unplug/Plug in USB
Remove USB from Vista
ect

Scenario Windows HOST any guest.
Problem area USB:
There are two filters. One blank and one static. The only way that I can get the USB to work after a reboot of the HOST is to turn all filters off except the blank filter. Boot the guest and unplug the device and plug it back in to get focus. Once I have this I can shut down the guest and turn the static filter on and reboot the guest. It will work like that (shutting down the guest and starting the guest) until the next time I reboot the host. Then I must go through the process all over again.

I just tried all of the things I described in my 1st post but none of them worked so thank you for the suggestion I will try it now.

Thanks Perryg
