cant install 64 bit OS's on my 64 bit vista

Post by skoty »

ok so i'm using VB for the first time. I fairly know what I'm doing when it comes to this kind of stuff, but i'm running into a bind. I'm trying to install Mandriva x64 on my vista x64 and its telling me that its "Its a 32-Bit computer, you can not use 64-bit software on it"... There has to be somewhere that I missed something, or what not... any suggestions?

ok so i have read the manual and what not, and its still giving me the error... all the manual says is that I should have VT-x or AMD-x enabled which it is

Did you check the BIOS? then first try it with vbox 2.1.4, there might be a vt-x issue with 2.2.2
