Grub is configured with the vga=795 variable to force a high resolution (1280x1024 24bit).
To run my Windows guest I use "sudo VBoxSDL -startvm winxp". This uses the framebuffer to run the OS and seems to work quite ok.
However, when I shutdown the Windows guest it locks up at the shutdown screen. I have no idea why.
I suddenly get 2 mouse-cursors again and after a few seconds they both lock. Numlock also can't be switched on and off anymore.
The system log says something about the MTRR
Code: Select all
kernel: [518.746614] mtrr: no MTRR for e0000000,2000000 foundWould someone be able to give me advice on what causes VBoxSDL to crash this way?
