Windows Vista Host. I successfully installed Ubuntu via an iso file on the harddrive. During that process I had access to keyboard and mouse input. After installation of Ubuntu and letting itself update via the net, about a 30 minute process, all seemed to be working.
Now, when trying to open Ubunto from VB, it goes about loading itself and gets as far as the Ubuntu login screen. During this process I haven't got any keyboard or mouse control. I cannot use the right-ctrl key to switch between host and guest. At this point my only option is to shutdown and re-start.
Any clues please. My keyboard and mouse are Logitech wireless devices, but as I said, they were working initially when installing Ubuntu.

As a test disable 3-d acceleration from VBs gui.

My way: "You live as long as you learn".

Just tried that, it didn't work. Same result, no keyboard or mouse response. Had to shutdown.baf wrote:As a test disable 3-d acceleration from VBs gui.

Re: Keyboard and mouse input - not working
I started all over again. Deleted the existing Ubuntu guest system and re-installed.
I now have keyboard and mouse control. I've got no idea why this problem occurred in the first place.
