want to try vbox on my laptop. currently loaded with windows xp and I want to run fedora 10 as my primary os. what do I need to do to make this work ?

If you run XP and want to make Fedora as your main OS then VBox is only one tool. The simplest thing to try first is to keep XP as host; install VBox and run Fedora as guest. This will introduce you to the product and its capabilities.
