What 'settings files' will be converted?

I just installed VirtualBox 2.2.2 on my Fedora 9 host. Starting VirtualBox for the first time presents a dialog stating "Your existing VirtualBox settings files will be automatically converted from the old format to a new format necessary for the new version of VirtualBox." I'd like to backup these files prior to converting in case I have to fall back to a previous version. Where and what are these files?

Thanks.

The files are the virtualbox "xml" files and Virtualbox makes a back up for you in the directory where they reside.
You can find these in ~/your-login-name/.virtualbox/ and machine.
If you have already installed VirtualBox 2.2.2 then the backup is pointless for you to do. They have already been converted and are where I stated above.
