Crashes on VBoxSvc.exe and VirtualBox.exe -- Vista 64 host

I keep getting crashes when attempting to shutdown a vm or compact a vdi. In addition it oddly can also occur sometimes when starting a VM or even when uninstalling VirtualBox.

Since I have 3 different error reports from Vista I went and placed them in a pastebin entry.

The compact issue with the vdi seems to have been "fixed" by making sure the vm shuts down cleanly (no aborted state). It still crashes at the end of the compact job though. The vm shutdown clean once I turned off 3d accel and rebooted it once. You will see one of the crashes occuring on a opengl dll for the vm.

Good vm start (i don't know what the access denied errors are for): http://pastebin.com/m3566a698

Aborted VM: http://pastebin.com/m4e4f34e8

Note that you shouldn't use VBoxManage modifyhd --compact with VirtualBox 2.2.2 as it is broken. The problem is known and already fixed in SVN and the fix will be available with the next release of VirtualBox. As for the other crashes, I would appreciate if you could open separate bug reports for these issues.

Thanks. Didn't know about the issue with compact but I'll try to get more information about the other ones.

Bah... found an already existing bug report in connection with 3d acceleration and vm shutdown (like I thought)
