Re: Updating 2.2.0 to 2.2.2
I had couple bad experiences on upgrading VB. I've learnt that check out this forum first, if no one get serious problem, then I start upgrade my VB.
I couldn't resist the interesting on 3D features offered by version 2.2.0, so I did upgrading to 2. 2. 0 without carefully check the feedback and " " bang " I got bitten by the network issue again. luckily this time it did not take me much time to fix it by manually specify IP, DNS, gateway.
I will give more time to my macines for next upgrading of VB and they will stay on current versions : 2. 1. 4 : for Ubuntu-XPs and 2. 2. 0 for simple XP-XPs ( only NAT are needed)

Re: Updating 2.2.0 to 2.2.2
Grab the 2.2.0 installer, run it and select repair. Reboot, run the installer again and select Remove. VB should be removed properly now. Reboot again, then run the 2.2.2 installer. All should go without issues.

Re: Updating 2.2.0 to 2.2.2
The same problem on Vista Ultimate (32bit) and Windows 7 (64bit), fortunately the same fix works perfect on both systems (Repair 2.2.0 / Uninstall 2.2.0 / Install 2.2.2 - all three steps without reboot/restart)
