Greetings!
I've just installed Virtual Box PUEL in my fedora 11 beta box and i can not run any virtual machine at all. I had previously exported some machines and I though it was the problem. I tried creating a new one, but it also crashed. Looking through the machines settings, I can see the vt-x option is checked and grayed out, and my processor ( core 2 duo T5750 ) is not supposed to handle it.
EDIT: My machines are a winxp guest and a opensolaris 10 one. I tried recreating the winxp one but failed too.
EDIT 2: Perhaps its a Fedora problem . I tried with VirtualBox OSE 2.1.4 and it also crashes. In the case of the windows vm, it always stops when setup is loading RAID controllers.
Does anyone had this trouble?
Thank you.

Am I alone with this problem?

Probably... crash/error codes? feed google with them.

No crash info, just a window dissapearing. I can not figure out something important from the logs ... it ends in something like this
00:00:03.877 Guest Log: BIOS: Boot from Floppy 0 failed
00:00:03.880 Display::handleDisplayResize(): uScreenId = 0, pvVRAM=0000000000000000 w=720 h=400 bpp=0 cbLine=0x0
00:00:03.886 Guest Log: BIOS: Booting from CD-ROM...
Google wont throw anything important about this.

Re: All my guests crash on Fedora 11 with VBox 2.2.2
I think you will find that your problem is the beta part of Fedora 11 beta. I could say it is not supported and let it go at that, but though I would explain why it more than likely will not work. The kernel and supported drivers will not be understood by VBox. Since VBox is a type 2 hypervisor it has to depend on the host as well as the hardware. So I am sure you can see why it might not work. As for the check mark and it being grayed out that means that it is not available. I know it is confusing but that is the way it is.saeioul wrote:Greetings!

Now, that was a very clear explanation, thanks!
Anyway I felt quite confident with the installation because on the official downloads (and yum repos) , there was a virtual box version specifically for fedora 11. Perhaps I will have to wait until things get fixed.
Thanks again!
