WinXP Client has no USB Driver??

Post by hypercube33 »

I tried this on a few host machines (Windows 2003 RC2 x64, Vista Home Premium, XP x86 Pro (2 machines) moving the xvm files to them, and doing fresh installs. I've read everything I can. Let windows automagically go through and find that it has no driver. Manually looked for drivers everywhere. Tried Default Drivers. Set up filters; set up manual grabs. Made sure everything was seen on the vm, not the host (undocked it when plugging it in.) Tried different USB mice, printers, parallel ports, etc. No Avail.

My Issue is that the client operating system cannot find drivers for the USB Host Controller thus cannot use anything latched on. It doesnt appear that the addon cd has drivers for this ANYWHERE. Installing and reinstalling it doesnt help. Tried 1.2/1.21 versions of software, still had identical problems.

Which Guest? XP? Service Pack level? Must be at least 1a. Are you sure USB is enabled? There are plenty of things you can test. We expect you read the Forum Posting Guide and give some more info.
