AMD / NUMA Support for Hosts?

Hi,
I have VirtualBox on a 2xCPU (2x4core) AMD box with 8gb - 4gb per CPU. However, it seems that VirtualBox 2.2.0 might have issues when trying to allocated memory on these types of machines; specifically I have a 2gb VM, and a heavily loaded machine, but still with 4gb free. More than enough for VirtualBox to allocate for a VM. However, it appears that half way through booting windows setup for 2k8, Virtual Box claims it can't allocate enough RAM. I've seen this with HyperV on windows too, for which there is a hot fix for.
Is this likely a NUMA related issue? What else can i use to diagnose being unable to allocate memory erros?
