Speed differences XP and Me

Post by scbs29 »

I have installed Windows XP and Me in vbox on PCLinuxOS.
XP runs much more quickly than does Me.
Is there anything I can do to speed up Me ?
TIA

VB is more optimized for running XP than ME. And XP is also better at running on virtualized hardware. Check your CPU usage for example, I think that when you run ME, the CPU is at full load.

You might benefit from the tools used for w95 idle problems such as rain, dosidle and tame-res.
