W2k endless reboot issue (vbox 2.2)

Post by SirVival »

Hi,
I know this issue should be resolved following the instructions listed in the help (11.2.2 ).

When I used vbox 2.02 it worked fine for me (I got a running W2k guest).

Now I wanted to install an additional guest on my system (newest version of vbox installed).

But as mentioned in the subject the setup does not finish.

I tried different values for the delay but it did not work.

Thanks

If your main w2k VM works fine then de-attach the VDI from it and attach the VDI you have a problem with.

Hi,
found the bug.
If I manualy configure the network during the setup and disable everything then there is no reboot.
If I just deactivate the network in the Vbox config then the reboot still happens.

Strange.

Its not so strange as I've seen this before (no network NIC while drivers are loading for it), with a real machine when you remove the pci NIC it sometimes does the same thing.

It must be bug of 2.2 since in vbox 2.02 this did not happen.
