Problems activating net connection on windows XP guest

Post by jopeagar »

Hello,

Recenty I have updated my virtual box to 2.2.0 version. My OS is ubuntu 8.10 and the virtualized machine is Windows XP. I had disabled the network connection on the guest and now I want to activate it, but when I try to do it a fatal error occurs that shutdown de Vbox machine. In the Net tab: Adapter type: PC-net III and Attached to: NAT.

Any suggestion?? Thanks (and sorry for my english)

Try bridged mode and select the Intel Pro 1000/MT desktop adapter type.

Better to select the Intel/PRO1000T Server, as XP doesn't have the MT driver build in.
