Segmentation fault on startup

Post by a_m0d »

Hi,
I have been running VBox for a while now, and just recently I created a new machine (Windows XP on a 20GB disk). It ran fine, I saved the state, and shut VBox down. Now I can't start VBox up again - when I run

Code: Select all

VirtualBox
from the terminal, it responds with

Code: Select all

Segmentation fault
. Any command that will in any way start a VM or modify it seems to do the same. I upgraded to 2.2, but that didn't help either. Any tips on what to do? I tried commenting out the new machine in the settings file, but it still doesn't work.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I ran strace and discovered that the problem seemed to be in the QT libraries - updated these and the problem disappeared.
