After installing Ubuntu 9.04 and VBoxguestadditon,restart and input username and password,then screen change to blank,why?Thanks you very much!

From what I can tell, with this little information, is that you have the issue about Compiz. When Gnome enables the fancy effects, OpenGL fails and you're stuck with a white screen. Please check the Linux Guests forum for more info.

(oops wrong thread - do not see a delete post option)
So I installed Xubuntu 8.04 on VBox 2.2. It works perfectly, including resize.
There is definitely a problem with VB2.2 and Xubuntu 9.04 when it comes to vbox video driver. Maybe this problem surfaces only for certain hardware like my netbook.
