Post by vboxdebuser »

HI all

i have this "small" problem, i cannot run a linux guest, it freezes in a few secs / mins, usb disabled, sata disabled and acpi disabled too, the problem persists

what happens with this 2.2.0 version? i don't have this problems with v2.1.4

Need more information please.
How much RAM is in the host?
How much RAM is assigned to the guest?
Is 3D enabled?
Are you using 32 or 64 bit OS?
Which network adapter (NAT, Bridged, Host-only) have you selected to use in VBox?
Does the network appear to work in the guest before it hangs?
You can also look at the VBox logs to see if they show an error.

Make sure that you do not have a screen saver running in the guest. Known issue!
