VirtualBox 2.2.0 MAC Bridge Miniport Problem

Hi all,
I have a Windows 7 host running Windows Server 2003 as guest on VirtualBox 2.2.0. On my host I have my WLAN and LAN card bridged together (MAC Bridge Miniport) so that I can use my Xbox 360 to go on xbox live. Now when I use VirtualBox and select the network adapter to bridge with the MAC Bridge Miniport, I get limited or no connectivity on my guest system. If I remove the MAC Bridge Miniport, and bridge the network adapter with my WLAN card, then it will work just fine. The problem is that I do not want to remove the MAC Bridge Miniport since I want to play on Xbox Live while running my VirtualBox on the computer at times. How can I make this work?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Instead of bridging your lan and wlan, use internet connection sharing for your xbox. That will work just fine.

Hi Sasquatch,
I have tried that many times, it gives my Xbox NAT issues where it's not open entirely so my gaming suffers a lot. When I bridge my connections it works flawlessly without any NAT issues.
Is there a way for me to work my MAC Bridge Miniport with VirtualBox?

Hi all,
Has anyone had any similar issues like I have? Is there a solution to this?
I know that Virtual PC 2007 works just fine even if I bridge my connections however I'm not using that program since it causes my host computer to blue screen every now and then regarding some "CPU2 timer not responding within the allocated time" or something.
This is why I switched to VirtualBox and it seems so much better, but I just can't figure out how to get the networking to work when bridging is enabled on the host.

Please help and thanks a lot for your support!

Hey mate, I have a very similar issue

I have 2 network cards installed on my computer, running Windows 7 with virtualbox 3.08, one going to the router, and the other to my laptop, and the connection is bridged so that my laptop is also on the same local network.

When I start my virtual box virtual machine, the computer ends up getting a blue screen with a driver problem being not less than or equal I think. Haven't come across a solution yet either sorry.
