How can I mount host linux folder as guest Windows drive? Sorry have done a brief search but cannot find solution, although this should be a very common question....

Not much info on your setup here...

Let me guess. You have a Linux host and a Windows guest and want to access (part of) the Linux file system from the guest. The Fine Manual has a chapter called "4.6. Folder sharing" maybe there is something useful there.

Or you can do as I do and use a Samba server on the host and access the exported shares just like you would do from any other Windows machine, real or virtual.

That's the first thing you need to do before coming here. You don't go back to the store or the manufacturer of your microwave oven to ask how it works, you read the manual for it.
