Can't start Windows VM - Module not found

Post by MikeR »

Hi,

I'm a new user to virtual box and I'm having trouble re-starting my VM. It was working yesterday, but today, when I try to start it it fails with the following error:

Code: Select all

Cannot load R0 module (VERR_NO_MEMORY).
Failed to register ourselves as a PCI Bus (VERR_MODULE_NOT_FOUND).
Unknown error creating VM (VERR_MODULE_NOT_FOUND).

Result Code:
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component:
Console
Interface:
IConsole {9511bc54-15ee-4ddf-808e-472aba03809c}
It seems like it might be memory related, so I tried increasing and decreasing the memory settings of the VM, but nothing seems to help.

Any ideas?

Did you add your account to the VBoxusers group on the host?
Have you rebooted the Host and have you changed anything?
