I've used virtual box 2.1.4 and had 3 snapshots
Then I have upgraded to 2.2.0 and discarded the last snapshot (i.e. merged the changes).
I don't remember now if he merge complained (i think it was not the merge) or the win xp after reboot.
It told me about a bad registry but it could be recoverd by an old version or with a log.
After checking some progs there were now more running.
Than I have merged (discarded) the all the other ones ...
No change. The most progs are not anymore workable. Even properties of "My Computer" give errors of some dll's ...
So my question:
Is this a know problem that snapshots cannot be merged with a new version or should this work?
Lucky this time I have a backup of my image and have to install only some progs which were lost from the snapshots ...
I really don't know If I should use again snapshots when I install sw ...
I wanted to be shure that it works fine with virtual box ...
