Disable 3D, I recall reading somewhere on the Linux Guests forum, it made VB crash when KDE was used with 3D options.

I tried with disabled 3d it was first what got into my mind, but it doesnt help much, i did find somewhere its about many modes in xorg conf files i edited it and disabled all modes so it should use only one default one i think but it didnt solove problem, so I asked here, oh well i dont really need kde but i think i didnt have this problem with earlier version of vbox before 2.0.0

Same problem here with slackware-12.2 as a guest, but with a host running 64bit kubuntu 9.04 with all the latest updates; and the guest additions would only work for the keyboard but not for the mouse.
I just downloaded and installed slackware-current as the guest and everything works fine including the guest additions for both mouse and keyboard and 3d acceleration is enabled. I started X and exited a bunch of times without a visit from the Meditation Guru. It might be some issue with kde3 because slackware-current uses kde4.
you could try running slackroll or slapt-get since i have heard some people have had success upgrading to current. i wanted a clean install so i opted to just download current and will just use the included slackpkg to keep current with current.
also remember after installing guest additions, and rebooting, to run the xorgsetup utility before going into X to have it probe for the video hardware so it finds the virtualbox video driver and then rewrite the xorg.conf.
