rdpclip.exe and virtualbox.exe at 100% cpu

Ive been having some CPU at 100% issues with xubuntu guest on an XP host for a while now. Removing client tools and upgrading to the latest version has not helped. It usually happens when I boot into the GUI and log out, but lately I have been booting straight into the console to avoid this. Today I noticed that the guest OS was acting slow and found that virtualbox.exe and rdpclip.exe were in contention for 100% of the CPU. I killed rdpclip.exe and things look better now.
Id like to know what I can do to solve this other than killing the rdp clipboard process. Any ideas? I really would like to stop babysitting this server and even log into the GUI now and again without killing performance.
Also, I always access this computer via XP's remote desktop if that helps. It is not connected to a monitor, mouse, or keyboard. Thanks.
